Preschool & Child Care Director
Hello, my name is Dora Kurpierz and I am the Director of Mount Calvary Child Care and Preschool. I have been working in education/childcare for almost 20 years. I grew up in Fort Wayne and attended IPFW (when it was still IPFW) and earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. After graduation, I lived on both coasts with my then-husband who was in the Navy. Through those travels, I worked as a substitute teacher and for Navy Child and Youth Programs for almost 9 years working my way from a part-time classroom assistant to the Youth Programs Director (and held that position for almost 4 years).
In December 2016, I decided to move back to Fort Wayne to be closer to my immediate family. When I’m not at work, I enjoy chasing my dog around (he’s a Corgi/Pomeranian named Anubis), reading, spending time with my family and working on projects in/around my 100+ year old home. I am a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church located in downtown Fort Wayne.
Preschool & Child Care Office Manager
Hello, my name is Courtney. I am the Office Manager for Mount Calvary Child Care and Preschool. I have been working in childcare for about 9 years now. I have worked with all ages in day cares. I have also worked as a nanny for 4 years while being at home with my daughter. I have coursework in early child development and office management. I have been married to my husband for 6 years and we have a 5-year-old daughter. In my free time I like to do photography, play video games and board games and read.
Daniela Boots is a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and has worked with the infants for six years. She loves being creative and enjoys interior design, quilt making, art, and writing. It’s both a privilege and a blessing to care for and teach these little ones. She also enjoys getting to know the families! It’s wonderful to see how much the infants progress in the time they spend in our room!
Caprice Capers is the assistant teacher in our room and the infants' love, love, love her expressive storytelling! We use the Creative Curriculum to teach and guide in a meaningful way. Caprice and Daniela are always happy to answer questions and are available at any time. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text us directly.
Brittany Kyler is a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbia City. She has my bachelor’s in educational ministries, with a Minor in Missions at Huntington University. Some activities that she enjoys are camping, watching Notre Dame football, watching Cubs baseball, spending time with my family and friends and writing/reading. She recently was married May 4th, 2019 to her husband Joe. She loves being around kids, watching them learn and play and grow. She loves that they have a child-like wonder on everything and it is fun to watch them experience that wonder.
Dawn Foust attends First Missionary Church in Berne. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Rochester University in Rochester Hills, MI. She then got my infant/Toddler specialist certification from Ball State. Dawn worked as a head start teacher, infant teacher, preschool teacher, and childcare provider.
