Nathan grew up in California for most of his childhood, but ventured to Michigan for his high school years. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2006 with a B.A. in History. He continued his education by going to Concordia Seminary to receive his Masters of Divinity in 2013. He continued at Concordia Seminary to pursue a doctorate in theology, which he is still working towards.
Nate has been married to his wonderful wife, Tricia, for 10 years. She supports his service to the church and Nate could not do it without her. They have two preschoolers together, who keep them constantly busy yet grateful.
Although this is Nate’s first call, he is enthusiastic about the prospects for Mount Calvary and its future in the community of South Fort Wayne. He is excited to see how God is moving with and through the people of Mount Calvary as they awaken to the vision God is placing on their hearts. He’s even more excited to see how the people of God will teach him to be more dependent upon Jesus for all he needs.

Family Life and Music Ministry
Doug Reynolds has served Mount Calvary since October 1999 as Director of Family Life and Music. He graduated from Concordia Teachers College, Seward in 1987 with a B.S. in Education and a concentration in Church Music. He received a Master of Science – Family Life from the same institution (now called Concordia University, Nebraska) in 2007. Previously he served schools/congregations in Battle Creek, NE, St. Louis, MO, and Beloit, WI. He has been married to his college sweetheart since June 1988, and they have been blessed with four beautiful children: Zachary, Jennifer, Micah, and Aaron. One of the greatest joys was being able to play with his children in The Reynolds Family Brass Quintet for a season.
His Family Life Ministry duties have centered around anything family, including children, youth, marriage, and parenting, but after attending his first Orange Conference in February 2018, his passion for Married Ministry has risen to the forefront. His worship duties focus on all aspects of music in worship – directing choirs and Praise Team; playing instruments (organ, piano, and guitar, and would love to add the harmonica!); and planning worship services. After all the years Doug has been at Mount Calvary, he is still excited to be used by God in this place (and partnering with a pastor who’s younger than him), and to do what he can to further God’s kingdom here in the Waynedale area.
Clinton Bienz went to Concordia University Chicago to be a teacher. He tried teaching and found out he likes working with people in church, reaching out to people who are searching for authentic community. He enjoys games, discussion, and music. He is married to his perfect wife Gwen, and is expecting a baby boy in 2019!
Director of Pastoral Care
Jeana was born and raised in Oregon. She lived there until 1981. After earning a BS in Business Management from Oregon State University that year, she left Oregon to move to River Forest, Illinois, to pursue training as a deaconess. Jeana graduated with a BA in Theology from Concordia University, Chicago, in 1984. She continued her education by completing 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) while serving in her first Call. She returned to school and earned an MA in Theology from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 2008. Following this, she completed 4 more units of CPE in 2009.
Jeana was married to Dale Moe, a fellow Oregon native, from 1982 until his death in 2009. They had no children but were loved and cared for by the Body of Christ here at Mount Calvary from the time they joined it in 1985. Jeana was delighted to reconnect with her Mount Calvary family upon her return to Fort Wayne in September 2017, after a nearly 6-year absence in which she was back in Oregon taking care of her mother.
Jeana served both her Deaconess Internship and first Call as Deaconess at Lutheran Life Villages’ Fort Wayne campus. Her service lasted over 22 years total until she resigned to pursue the education needed for further chaplaincy training. Jeana then served as a Resident Chaplain for one year at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She served on staff at Mount Calvary from mid-Fall 2010 until late-Fall 2011. Duties included coordinating visitation ministry with the Elders, Pastor, and Parish Nurse, and assisting in bereavement ministry at funerals. As Director of Pastoral Care, Jeana has resumed many of these duties but has assumed a greater role in leadership. She is delighted to be on staff again, being given an opportunity to use her God-given gifts and talents serving our homebound, hospitalized, and other members as needed. Jeana is excited to be a part of this new Mount Calvary. She is looking forward to seeing how God will lead this Body, and in seeing how God will use her to support and encourage its growth in many dimensions.
